Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

My sister-in-law Ali Maxey plans to do the two-day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in DC on May 2 & 3, 2009.  As part of this, she will walk 26.2 miles on Saturday and another 13.1 miles on Sunday (or 39.3 miles total).  Proceeds of this event benefit the Avon Foundation which supports breast cancer research and mammograms for low-income women.  It is a truly worthy cause.  Ali is doing this walk in memory of my late wife Laura, who passed away from breast cancer in November 2007.
