Day Two: Fighting My Cancer

Today, the book tour shifts to the blog, Fighting My Cancer: So Yesterday!  Living Beyond Treament: Today!   This blog is written by Shannon Sherwood, who was one of the first people to read my book.  Shannon enthusiastically agreed to join the tour.  I had originally approached her because she, like my wife, has battled triple-negative breast cancer.  She is a mother of two young girls and resides in Austin, Texas, where she is active with the Austin affiliate of Susan G. Komen and a group of young breast cancer survivors in Austin called the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls.  As of right now, she is cancer-free, having gone through the normal rounds of treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.

On her blog today, Shannon interviews me about the book.  She relates what Laura and I went through to her experiences and asks about what inspired me to write a memoir.  In particular, she focuses on support that I might have had as a breast cancer husband.  I hope that you check it out.
